This virtual presentation explores the role of AI in patent drafting, focusing on whether these tools truly enhance efficiency or fall short of expectations. We will review the latest AI drafting tools, evaluate their current capabilities, impact on workflow efficiency, and overall effectiveness for patent practitioners. By analyzing real-world examples, a balanced view of AI's role in modern patent practice and its potential to transform traditional methods will be provided.

Speaker Bio: Kiersten is an attorney at Pauly, DeVries Smith & Deffner, LLC. She is a graduate from the University of St. Thomas School of Law and received her bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of St. Thomas. Specializing in patent prosecution, she leverages her chemical background to help clients protect their innovations relating to technologies ranging from medical devices and material sciences to food science and manufacturing.

In her free time, Kiersten coaches the University of St. Thomas School of Law Intellectual Property Moot Court team and creates connections in the IP community as secretary of the University of St. Thomas IP and Data Privacy Alumni committee.
