His\n\nappointment to the federal bench had two historical distinctions: he became both the\n\nfirst Latino and first international trade practitioner to be appointed to the Federal Circuit.\n\nHe has been actively involved in the Hispanic Bar Association as well as the American\n\nBar Association. This visit is sponsored by the Hon. Jimmy V.
