Companies have been forced to adjust policies to enable employees to work from home and have adopted new technologies to maintain business operations. Now, as states lift shelter-in-place directives, companies revert to on-site workplaces or establish more permanent virtual models, and rates of employee mobility rise, the risk of trade secret misappropriation and the loss of other valuable confidential information has perhaps never been greater.

In this presentation, Robins Kaplan LLP trial lawyers Christopher K. Larus and David A. Prange will help in-house counsel foresee the pitfalls associated with these dramatic shifts in the workplace and share proven strategies for protecting company secrets in 2020 and beyond.

Presenters

Christopher K. Larus chairs the national intellectual property and technology litigation group at Robins Kaplan LLP. For more than 25 years, he has helped his clients protect their IP rights. He tries complex trade secret, patent, trademark copyright, and licensing cases in courts around throughout the United States and in both national and international arbitration.

David A. Prange is a partner at Robins Kaplan and leads the firm’s trade secret subgroup. Mr. Prange focuses his practice on complex business litigation with an emphasis on intellectual property, including patent, trade secret, trademark, and license disputes in federal and state courts across the United States.

This event qualifies for one general CLE credit.
