The Biotechnology and Chemical Law Committee provides a forum for discussing and advancing knowledge of IP legal topics related to biotechnology and chemical law.

The Paralegal Committee provides a forum for discussing and advancing knowledge of issues related to paralegal issues in the practice of intellectual property law.  This organization is also a valuable networking organization for paralegals in the IP field.

The Board of Directors is the body that runs the Association by creating committees and making the day to day decisions regarding Association activites and spending.

The Patent Agents Committee provides a forum for discussing and advancing knowledge of issues concerning patent-agent members of MIPLA.

The By-laws Committee suggests changes to the by-laws for voting by the entire membership at a meeting of the Association, such as the Annual Meeting.

The Patent Litigation - ADR - CAFC Committee provides a forum for discussing and advancing knowledge of issues related to the areas of patent litigation practice and alternative dispute resolution practice in intellectual property law as well as discussion of activities at the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

The Continuation Legal Education Committee develops and/or promotes IP-related continuing Legal Education Programs for the benefit of the MIPLA members.

The Patent Prosecution Committee provides a forum for discussing and advancing knowledge of issues related to the patent prosecution practice of intellectual property law.

The Copyright Law Committee provides a forum for discussing and advancing knowledge of Copyright law.

The Programs Committee organizes the many social events put on by MIPLA each year.  This committee is a great place for new members to meet people and begin participating in the organization.

The Corporate Practice Committee provides a forum for discussing and advancing knowledge of issues related to in-house practice of intellectual property law.

The Publications Committee works on collecting content, reviewing draft editions, and writing material for the Association's website and Association newsletter, the New Matter.

The members of the Ethics Committee are the Board of Directors. The function of the Committee is receive complaints about performance of members within the Association for violation(s) of the Articles of Incorporation of the Association or the By-Laws and to determine whether such member should be expelled or suspended from the Association.

The Public Relations Committee works to communicate with non-members about the practice of intellectual property law.  Many of these activities have to do with meeting law student groups and discussing the practice area with them. 

The Historian is responsible for maintaining MIPLA archives and/or advancing knowledge of the organizational history of MIPLA.

The Software Protection Committee provides a forum for discussing and advancing knowledge of issues related to the software protection practice of intellectual property law.

The Intellectual Property Law Revision & PTO Committee provides a forum for discussing and advancing knowledge of proposed revisions to intellectual property law statutes, regulations, and/or procedures.

The Students in Intellectual Property Law Association Committee (SIPLA) provides a forum for discussing and advancing knowledge of issues related to student issues in preparing for the practice of intellectual property law.  This organization is also a valuable networking organization for students in the IP field.

The Intellectual Propery Law Students Committee provides a forum for discussing and advancing knowledge of issues concerning MIPLA student members.

The Trademarks & Unfair Competition Committee provides a forum for discussing and advancing knowledge of issues related to trademark practice and unfair competition practice of intellectual property law.

The IP Licensing Committee provides a forum for discussing and advancing knowledge of issues related to the IP licensing practice of intellectual property law.

The U.S. Bar and EPO Committee provides a forum for discussing and advancing knowledge of issues related to the relationship between the U.S. Bar and practice before the European Patent Office.

The International Law Committee provides a forum for discussing and advancing knowledge of issues related to the international practice of intellectual property law.

The Women in Intellectual Property Law Association Committee (WIPLA) provides a forum for discussing and advancing knowledge of issues related to women's issues in the practice of intellectual property law.  This organization is also a valuable networking organization for women in the IP field.

 The members of the Nominations Committee are selected by the President Elect to fill positions during the term they are acting as Vice President.  The Nominations Committee also selects the slate of Officers to be offered to the membership for voting at the Annual Meeting.
