Dear MIPLA Members and Prospective MIPLA Members,

MIPLA is off to another strong year of committees, continuing education, and social events. I encourage everyone to get involved with a committee and attend the social events. It is a great way to learn, network and connect with colleagues and friends!

I also would like to take a moment to thank several MIPLA members who have been stalwarts to the organization over the last several years:

• Brad Forrest has been the driving force behind the MIPLA Stampede for a number of years. He has continued the tradition of bringing in excellent local and national speakers on timely topics. The Stampede is just one of the many ways that MIPLA provides value to its members. Brad has now turned over the reins to Brad Pedersen. Thank you to both Brads!
• Tim Czaja has kept the MIPLA golf tournament on the short green stuff for several years. The event is one of MIPLA’s most popular, and Tim has been a big reason for the continued success. Mark Deffner will be the new MIPLA golf chair. Please give Mark a call if you would like to help him organize the event. Thank you to both Tim and Mark.
• Robin Sannes, last year’s MIPLA President, did an excellent job leading the organization. She kept the organization running like clockwork, moving the organization forward, and delegating -- but never afraid to take the laboring oar herself. Many thanks to Robin.
